Full of charm and serenity, this Scandinavian-style chalet is nestled in a deciduous forest, on the shores of Lake Ouareau, accessible directly in front of the chalet.

 

Summer or winter, St-Donat is a magnificent playground for lovers of recreation and the outdoors! Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, swimming, golf and even hebertism for your children!

 

Located 1h30 from Montreal, on the edge of Lac Ouareau in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci (border of St-Donat), in the magnificent region of Lanaudière, this magnificent prestigious chalet can accommodate up to 12 people.

 

The main floor, open concept, includes the modern kitchen, a dining room with a view of the lake, a cathedral-roofed living room with a slow-burning fireplace, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a magnificent veranda. 4 seasons.

 

In summer, a huge fully furnished terrace with garden furniture will offer you a magnificent extension of the chalet with a view of the lake. One of the five bedrooms is on the ground floor as well as a family room with pool table and foosball game. The outdoor spa can be used year round.

Two bedrooms are upstairs, including the master bedroom with king bed and view of the lake, a sitting area and a full bathroom.

 

For fishing enthusiasts (fishing zone #9 – license required), the lake contains several species of fish such as largemouth bass, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and, in some areas, muskellunge.

P.S.: For fishing enthusiasts, please note that there is a ban until March 2023 inclusively for lake trout (Touladi) fishing.

 

You can practice a multitude of activities in all seasons: swimming, fishing, canoeing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, tube sliding, dog sledding, zip line, and ice fishing at the Kanatha-Aki Center, hiking , golf, etc.

 

The Bellator du Lac is also a small paradise for snowmobile enthusiasts, because the trail on the lake directly joins trail #33 (Purchase right of access online). You can also practice Quad biking or mountain biking in all seasons on the many trails nearby. (vehicles not included).

 

Lac Ouareau has an area of ​​nearly 15 km and an average depth of 54 m (177 feet).

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that we are looking for a MATURE, DISCREET and RESPECTFUL clientele. As a result and following too many bad experiences, we no longer rent to groups whose average adult age is under 28 or to people who wish to party without worrying about noise for the neighbors because the chalet is located in a peaceful environment. The sound carries a lot on the edge of a lake and night noises can annoy them, so PARTIES ARE FORBIDDEN. Thank you for your understanding.

 

Animals: Note that small dogs (maximum 30 lbs) may be accepted in the chalet with certain restrictions and under certain conditions. Fees of $75 for 1 dog and $25 for a 2nd dog apply (2 dogs maximum). Full details in the chalet booking form.

 

Complete bedding is provided as well as towels for the showers. Bring your towels for the spa and the beach.

 

The kitchen is very well equipped. You will find, among other things, an espresso coffee machine, a coffee grinder, a food processor as well as 2 fondue sets (1 gas and 1 electric) in addition to all the usual accessories in a kitchen. In general, some basic elements are there such as: sugar, salt, pepper, spices, coffee filter, cellophane paper and aluminum foil, vegetable oil, etc…

 

There is a 50'' smart HD TV in the living room, a 36'' in the master bedroom and a 3rd 42'' in the children's bedroom, portable bluetooth speaker, unlimited Wi-Fi access, washing machine /dryer, BBQ (propane provided - not available in winter) as well as a dishwasher at your disposal.

 

The spa can be used year round.

 

BOATS:

If you wish to use your own boat or rent one for the duration of your stay, please note that the dock shown in the Ouareau photos can be used to moor the boat. Launching can be done from the municipal wharf.

If you wish to use your own craft or rent one for the duration of your stay, please note that the dock shown in the Bellator photos can be used to moor the craft. The launching must be done from the landing stages of the municipality only.

For a tenant to bring their own boat, they must obtain a lake access permit and have their boat washed:

  • Motorized boat of more than 25 forces $225 for 20 weeks (from August 15 to December 31 of the current year)
