455 meters above sea level, on the banks of Lac de la Montagne Noire (Black Mountain Lake), bordering the town of Saint-Donat, this impeccable log home offers its comfort in the warmest atmosphere.
The house can accommodate up to 8 people with its 3 bedrooms and 5 beds (Rate according to number of persons). The ground floor includes a modern kitchen, a dinning room with a view of the lake and a living room with a stone fireplace. The first floor houses the three bedrooms, two with amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The third bedroom has a double bed and two bunk beds.
The ground floor bathroom is equipped with a shower, and a washer and dryer set. A roman bathtub awaits you in the upstairs bathroom.
You will be able to engage in a multitude of activities all year round: Swimming, fishing (10 to 15" trouts, perch - fishing zone #9), canoe, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, snow tubing, dog sledding, zipeline, hiking to the top of La Montagne Noire to discover the 1943 Liberator Harry crash site. With its 892 meter altitude, this mountain is the highest of the Saint-Donat region. You will even be able to go snowmobiling on the lake in winter and ATV all year in the many trails close by (rent or bring your own).
For the summer season, the cottage comes with a canoe, a rowboat with paddles, a pedalo and six life vest (adults and kids).
The Lac de la Montagne Noire is about 3 square km and has a maximum dept of 34,3m (112.53 Ft). The cottage is nestled in the Bay des Sources where the bottom gently slopes down to a maximum dept of 13m (45 feet) witch is, more or less the average dept of the lake.

Keep in mind that we are looking for MATURE, DISCRET AND RESPECTFUL guests. Therefore, since we have had too many bad experiences in the past, we do not rent to groups whose average age is below 28 years old anymore or for people who want to party without worrying about the noise for the neighbours. Since our cottages are set in a peaceful environment, noise can disturb them.

Complete beddings, shower towels and fire wood are provided by the owner.
The kitchen is well equipped, you will find, amongst other things, an espresso machine, a coffee grinder, a food processor, a dishwasher and a gel fondue kit as well as usual kitchen equipment.
Generally, some basic elements are there such as: sugar, salt, pepper, a spice rack with about 20 spices, vegetable oil, coffee filters, dish washing liquid, paper towels, cellophane, aluminum foil, etc.
There is a 36’’ HD TV with a CD/DVD players and cable.
There is also a gas BBQ grill, a dishwasher, a washer and dryer set and hair dryers.
During the summer, a pedalo, acanoe and a rowboat will be at your disposal, along with a few life jacquets
