La Croisée des Lacs

Charming rustic cottage situated on the outskirt of the picturesque St-Adolphe d'Howard village in the magnificent Laurentian Region, 1h20 from Montreal, that can accommodate up to 16 people (Rate according to number of persons).

The chalet is across the street from Vingt-Sous Lake's free public access. 2 km from the cottage , you will also have free access to the beach at Lac du Coeur equipped with picnic tables and volleyball net. This beach is reserved for chalets in the sector. The village is a 6 minutes drive away and it is 8 minutes from the Mont Avalanche ski slopes. 

La Croisée des Lacs is new on the rental market and in constant process of improvement. Since the chalet is undergoing exterior remodeling, you benefit from a cheaper rate this summer. It is a rustic, old style cottage to witch we are bringing a touch of mix & match deco and a lot of warmth. The fireplace in the middle of the living room provides a most comforting environment.

You will find three private bedrooms: two on the ground floor with Queen beds and one, upstairs, with a King bed. A dormitory with 7 bunk beds and many extra beds are at your disposal. Every bed comes with full high quality bedding.

Perfect for family vacations or group gatherings, you will have ample space and everything you need to have a good stay. The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities and more; dishwasher, coffee maker, food processor, raclette kit, etc. The dining room table sits 10 people and there is a folding wooden table for 10 more people. There is a washer/dryer set in the basement and a 8 car parking.

The region offers a multitude of summer and winter activities: Mont Avalanche for downhill skiing, Outdoors center with 105km of cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails, hiking trails, indoor and outdoor rock and ice climbing center, sport pavilion, skate park, winter and summer hockey rink, skating on Lake St-Joseph, organized animated and adventure activities, archery, fitness trail, zip-lines, dog sledding, horse riding, bison reserve, fishing, etc. You can easily rent snowmobiles, ATVs, pontoons, paddle boats, pedalos, canoes, kayaks, etc.

Pets:  Note that small dogs might be admitted in the chalet under certain restrictions and conditions. A 75$ fee may apply for 1 dog and 25$ for a second dog unless they are a hypoallergenic breed. Contact us for details.

Keep in mind that we are looking for MATURE, DISCRET AND RESPECTFUL guests. Therefore, since we have had too many bad experiences in the past, we do not rent to groups whose average age is less than 28 years old anymore or to people who want to party without worrying about the noise and disturbance the neighbours. Since our cottages are set in peaceful environments, noise can be a big issue.

The kitchen is well equipped, you will find, amongst other things, an espresso machine, a coffee grinder, a food processor, a dishwasher and a gel fondue kit as well as usual kitchen equipment.  Generally, some basic elements are there such as: sugar, salt, pepper, a spice rack with about 20 spices, vegetable oil, coffee filters, dish washing liquid, paper towels, cellophane, aluminum foil, etc.

There is a 48" smart TV connected to the internet, a DVD player, a sounbar and Wifi internet access (limited). There are many board games and a bookcase at you disposal.

The cottage has 3 private bedrooms, 2 with a Queen bed each and 1 a King bed. 1 dormitory with 7 bunk beds. 1 twin bed, 1 single sofa bed, 1 double sofa bed, 1 Double mattress. Note that the cottage can accommodate a maximum of 22 people.


Please note that, after many bad experiences, we do not rent to groups who's average age is less than 28 y/o or to people wishing to party loudly at all hours without regards for the neighbors. Noise carries a long ways in the mountains... Thanks for your understanding.
