Part of the Big Bang definition is: gigantic explosion. This name fits perfectly the feeling one gets upon entering this majestic and unusual house. This residence, now available for short term rentals, is not so much a luxury home as it is an unique and phenomenal work of art. Entirely conceived and built by Robert Lachance, famed sculptor and artist for his ''oeuvre d'art" houses. This house being his third coming after La Romane and Le Sculptural. Art and nature lovers as outdoors enthusiasts will intensely appreciate this off the beaten path propriety.

The house has 6 bedrooms, 3 completely enclosed and, since nothing is conventional the other 3 are visually intimate but somewhat open-planned. This makes it possible to accommodate up to 14 people (Rate according to number of persons) on its 6000 square foot area and 3 bathrooms.

The ground floor encompasses a vast kitchen-dinning-living room area as well as a very large bathroom and an enormous bedroom. On the first floor, you will find 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Another bedroom and a kids playroom are perched on the third floor mezzanine. The 10 feet high basement houses 2 very large bedrooms a shower room and a living room featured by the thermal mass fire place. It is rater hard to describe the many boudoires and office spaces in this out of the ordinary house. BUT one thing is for certain, you will never feel claustrophobic! Security gates for children have been installed in the stairway.

Outside, you will be able to share sweet moments in our heated swimming pool (heated when 10 degrees minimum at night and 20 degrees during the day), in the spa, opened all year, or on the terrace. Around the natural stone camp fire site, you will have memorable evenings. If you want, you can go for a swim at the  Lac Raymond's beach (10 min.) or at the Lac des Sables's beach (15min.). The village of Val-David with all amenities is 5 minutes by car.

The cottage is located in a 4 acres estate atop the highest mountain in Val-David where there is no close neighbors and you will have a discrete view (at least in the winter!) of the bordering the Val-David/Val-Morin Regional Park the largest cross-country ski trail network in the Laurentians with its 1 900 acres of Crown land (80 km of trails), directly accessible behind the chalet. Discount access passes ($10/person/stay) available when booking online with us. You will be able to choose between hiking, mountain bike and fatbike riding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, Telemark, Splitboarding and even mountain climbing. We have 5 pairs of adult snowshoes and 1 child at your disposal at you disposal that we lend you free of charge with the purchase of passes. 

You will be 1 hour away from Montreal, 30 minutes away from Mont-Tremblant and 20 minutes from St-Sauveur. 

Pets:  Note that small dogs might be admitted in the chalet under certain restrictions and conditions. A 75$ fee may apply for 1 dog and 25$ for a second dog unless they are a hypoallergenic breed. Contact us for details.

P.S .: Keep in mind that we are looking for a MATURE, DISCREET and RESPECTFUL clientele. As a result and following too many bad experiences, we no longer rent to groups whose average adult age is under 28 or to people who want to party without worrying about noise for neighbors because as we are in the mountains and in a peaceful environment, the sound carries a lot and nighttime noises can annoy them, so PARTYS ARE FORBIDDEN.
